Resetquorumlog command

The resetquorumlog command creates a new quorum log file, if missing or corrupted, using information stored in the local node's cluster database and creates a new registry checkpoint file. The new quorum file is created using information in the cluster database located in %systemroot%\cluster\CLUSDB. If the quorum log file is not missing or corrupt, this command has no effect.

The syntax is:

clussvc /debug /resetquorumlog

clussvc /debug /RQ

The resetquorumlog command can also be set as a start parameter when starting the cluster service in the Computer Management console.

Caution

• The information retrieved from the cluster database might be outdated. Therefore, use this command only if there are no backups of the quorum log file available. You must use the Backup or Restore Wizard even if you do not have a backup of the quorum log. • The registry checkpoint file created by the resetquorumlog command has the format CHKxxx.TMP.
